myrtle beach: day 2
day 2 {july 8th, 2011}: the beach!
i hadn't been to the beach in years, so i was one happy camper. we spent the day soaking up the hot summer sun, chillin' in the water, and feeling the wonderful salty breeze in our hair.
our pool of ~ awesomeness ~ in which we sat there and just relaxed.
bahaha, i read the entire prisoner of azkaban during the trip.
my hair was quite short!

why is julia blogging so much? because i don't have any homework (that matters, anyway) and i never had the chance to post my photos from this summer. i'm typing from memory, so i hope i didn't forget anything!

day 1 {july 2, 2011}: departure & walmart adventures
in the beginning of july, i spent a week down at myrtle beach with claudia and her family. i was suprised when my mom said yes, seeing that she's quite...overbearing at times. it was a fun/relaxing/awesome vacation, thank you so much to the moreira family for having me! :D
day one consisted of a long 12 hour drive down to south carolina and settling in. the night before, my mom dropped me off at claudia's and we spent the entire night looking at autocorrect fails and playing words for friend. so by the time we had to depart we'd be tired enough to sleep. her dad likes to open the window during road trips, something i'm not accustomed to at all. (my mom hates the sound of an open window) so we napped in bundles of blankets and the smell of warm sunlight and wind.

claudia said they usually rented an apartment right on the beach, but this year a mishap happened - so the house was ~8 minute drive from the beach. i would have loved to wake up and just walk on the beach, but it doesn't matter!
there is a gap in the photos, so i assumed we just settled in and showered because we were nasty. us after a 12 hour drive!

then, we went to walmart to stock up on stuff/food for the week. i had to shorten down the bajillion photos we took to a few. XD basically us running around looking like tools. i love walmart.
i was going to put day 2 here, but alas - too many photos! tbc...
