when the world is quiet

first off: yes, another new layout. the other one was bothering me and i decided on SOMETHING RADICAL! i've been having 640px wide photos for the last two years, and it's time to amp it up to 800px for your viewing pleasure and my personal sanity. anyway, so yes. i also decided to use bloglovin' again, so you should follow me. *wink*

soooo, claudia and i had a sleepover last night - woho. basically, um, we tried out baby food, mario-karted, played two surprisingly short hours of mario party 7 (ugh, i forgot how much i loved that game), finished her girl scouts ceremony poster, had a quick photo-op, and then watched the latest episode of korra. (omg)

i've seriously forgot how much fun life is sometimes, i haven't had a sleepover in a very long time. much less a video game marathon. seriously, in my mind video games > clubbing^10000000.

here are some photos from our 3AM wanderings. we had to be silent because um, her parents probably thought we were sleeping. they were taken on her driveway. there is something about the night i can't quite put my finger on......whether it be the grain, the silence, or the increased power/effect of light....i lurv taking photos at night. and thanks man, for being mah model - i haven't taken photos in ages, so it felt good. (am i the only one that gets twitchy when you don't photograph in over a month?) and psh, claudia had fun as well. again, not much of a person to use models - they mean so much more if they are of friends. ya know.

my cousin and her husband took us the the local night market to wander around. i absolutely love night markets - not only are there miles of cute things, you can haggle and beg until you get the price you want. (for the most part.) i remember the noise, heat, humidity, laughter, distant music, and the smell of food lingering nearby.

i think that's a record for me. NOT POSTING IN TWO WEEKS MAH GAWD.

no i haven't fallen of the face of the earth - just enjoying my summer. my mom babysits a rather annoying child during july and recently - august. but she told the mom that she wanted a week off to hang out with my sister and i. *cue one week of constant shopping and running around*

and...i started an avatar fanblog on tumblr.(no not naked blue people, the badass show) I HAD TO. plus, it's good photoshop practice for me. it's so much fun to run and i'm so shocked that people actually followed/like my shit. it's here if you're interested :)

there has been a lack of motivation to take photos and i'm starting to get sick of being home constantly. but later today i'm going over to a friend's house and playing with her kitty and sunday = sweet sixteen. it's in this HUGE palace like place in new york. i nearly shit my pants when i saw the photos of it and the invitation. my friend is such a princess, i love her.

but i did whip out my camera for a brief night time photo adventure with victoria :D the parents insist that we took kevin (male) to "protect" us but he's afraid of my dog so i'm kind of doubtful that he can "protect us."

it's so demeaning when the fathers think that we can't handle being out on the driveway at night. really?

• went to the library. and was planning to take my camera and sneak some shots (but alas i forgot)
• played zelda
• watched despicable me with claudia (adorable movie)
• was a complete jerk and wrote the wrong date for a photoshoot with my friends ): i thought it was on friday, and it was on tuesday. i'm so mad at myself for doing this and i absolutely hate flaking out on people. i found out the second i was leaving for the movie theater. you know, those last minute message checkings. god. first and last time this will happen. sorry girls ): i'm so sorry.

PRODUCTIVE DAY. just another one of those lazy summer days. 364. i can't believe it. i'll save my speech for tomorrow!

summer has been nice to me, i just want some more excitement. i am starting to get a bit bored D:

but i think i'll do this instead of worrying about crap from school. anyday. *is tired and can't blog properly*



didn't borrow any books, because i still have all the books from steph su sitting on my desk!

spring in the night :)







these were taken on my driveway with flash :D across the street, past the houses is a chinese church (and if you know me, i don't do churches so no i don't go there) but there is lovely bokeh at night :D

no bokeh was overlayed, just me and a flash. it was a long exposure and as soon as it fired i ducked out of the way. ( i cropped my face out of a lot of them because i looked entirely stupid :) )
